Latest news: It is official now that flyers are being distributed for the arrival of the grandmaster from Bangladesh, GM Ziaur Rahman. He is a familiar face in Malaysia’s international FIDE-Rated Tournaments because of his frequent participation such as the Malaysian Chess Open and Kuala Lumpur Chess Open.

Let’s hope with the presence of a true-blue grandmaster will jumpstart Malaysia’s chess activities to a higher plane and who knows the birth of a future Malaysian-born chess grandmaster. He will be here for one year, so please utilise his presence in Malaysia, participate in a few tournaments that he will himself participate and watch some Simultaneous Chess Exhibitions that he will conduct and go to his lectures that he will give!
