1 January 2011, Kuala Lumpur – At the Singapore-Malaysia Chess Challenge 2010-2011, Singapore chess team is leading with a 7-point lead after round 2 has been played. The overall score is now 41.5 - 34.5 in Singapore’s favour. Today, both teams will play two rapid games to decide this year’s winner.

In the previous Malaysia-Singapore chess friendly held in Kuala Lumpur on the 16-17 February 2010, Malaysia lost to team Singapore 75.5-76.5, losing by one solitary point on an overall basis.
