19 October 2010, Chalkidiki, Greece – The World Youth Chess Championship 2010 ( WYCC 2010 ) is organized and will be held in Porto Carras Resort, Chalkidiki, Greece from 19th – 31st October 2010.

This event would test the measure of all junior chess players in the world within their own age – group category. The WYCC offers youth a platform to not only pit their skills in chess but also to compete against some of the best junior players from around the world.

The Malaysian Chess Federation (MCF) has sent it’s best juniors for the World Youth Chess Championship 2010. The Malaysian Contingent will be represented by 15 junior players with 1 Head Of Delegation, and 11 accompanying parents. The Malaysian players are comprised of 15 Juniors aged between 7 to 16 years old and they will be competing at their respective age- group categories.

The following players have qualified by virtue of being champion of their respective age-group categories in The National Age-Group Chess Championship held in early March 2010.

A total of 1428 players will participate in this year’s World Youth Chess 2010 with 185 players having titles from GM to WCM.
