Nguyen Van Huy Leads In Penang Open 2011

7 Dec 2011, Kuala Lumpur – At the Penang Heritage International Open 2011, IM Nguyen Van Huy takes the lead after overcoming Eng Andre Jerome on top board during round 4 of the tournament. IM Dimakiling drew against Olay Edgar Reggie on second board. On fifth board we have Mark Siew drawing with FM Ronnie Lim Chuin Hoong of Penang. Manaog Stewart (pix above) of Philippines lost to NM Tan Khai Boon.

During round 5, IM Nguyen will match up against Mariano Nelson III on top board while IM Dimakiling faces Turqueza Mari Joseph on second board.

On seventh board, Penangite FM Ronnie Lim meets fellow Penangite Loo Swee Leong while IM Mas Hafizulhelmi meets Bagamasbad Efren on 10th board. IM Mas has scored 2.5 points so far. On 14th board, Limono Handjojo of Indonesia meets Nik Ahmad Farouqi of Kelantan Chess Team who has scored two points from four rounds.
