30 January 2011, Kuala Lumpur – Today is the Renegade Weekender at DATCC and about 90 players are playing. On top board was Mark Siew Kit Tze against Wong Jianwen (picture left, courtesy of Gilachess.com). Both have 5 points from the earlier five rounds. However in the sixth round, Wong Jianwen prevailed and is the sole leader with 6.0 points going into the seventh final round of today’s seven-round Swiss-System rapid.
Wow, just saw that Fikri Saleh beat Norazman Ismail on board 7! That must be some good news to Saleh Abdul Latif (aka GiLoCatur blogger). Not so good for Sumant losing to Chan Sheng Yip on second board. NM Kamalarifin Wahiduddin overcoming Norizzudin Afendi Norazman on third board. Ilhamuddin wins against Tan Yong Zhao, Lim Zhou Ren wins, Low Jun Jian wins.
