20 January 2011, Kuala Lumpur – In Anaklia, Zugdidi/Georgia, the 68th Georgian Women Chess Championship 2011 is ongoing from 10th January to 23rd January 2011. Thirteen women chess players are participating in this tournament over 13 rounds.

Tourney mode: Round robin tourney with 13 players over 13 rounds (12 games only)
Participants: Time mode: 90 minutes/40 moves + 30 minutes + 30 seconds/move starting with the 1st move
Game start: 12:00, last round 08:00 (23rd January)
Rest day: 16th January
IM Nino Khurtsidze is leading with 6.0 points from 9 rounds and IM Lomineishvili Maia is second place with 5.5 points. While IM Kotenashvili Bela is in third place with 5.5 points.
Here is one game of round 9 of the Georgian Women’s Chess Championship 2011 held on the 19th January 2011 between third place, IM Bela Khotenashvili and second place IM Maia Lomineishvili. Black ended with two queens and one pawn against white’s one queen and two pawns in 87 moves.
