24 Sep 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Last Sunday, 23 Sep 2012 the DYTM Raja Nazrin Shah International Open Chess Championship 2012 came to a close with GM Sergei Tiviakov of the Netherlands, the top favourite winning the trophy and prize money. The tournament was originally the Kuala Lumpur Open Chess was renamed earlier this year to DYTM Raja Nazrin Shah International Open Chess Championship 2012. He scored 7/9 points from nine rounds of classical time control.
