3 September 2012, Kuala Lumpur – The recently concluded MultiMedia University International Chess Open 2012 held over two days in Melaka, 1-2 Sep 2012 was won by Filipino, Nelson Villaneva with a score of 6 points. In second place, Kamaluddin Yusof of Malaysia, also with a perfect score of 6 points. In third, Eden Diano of Philippines with a 5.5 point score.
Meanwhile fourth place was won by Asian Master Ahmad Fadzil Nayan of Malaysia with 5.5 points.
