Svidler Leads World Cup 2011

Svidler - Grischuk, Game 2, Final Round (7)  Ivanchuk - Ponomariov, 2nd Game (3rd Placing)

 17 September 2011, Kuala Lumpur – In Khanty Mansiysk, the finals between Peter Svidler and Alexander Grischuk stands at 1.5 – 0.5 with Svidler leading. Svidler drew his second game with Grischuk in 16 moves in a Sicilian Opening. Svidler and Grischuk will decide the winner of the FIDE World Cup 2011 after four games.

Meanwhile to determine the third placing, Ivanchuk wins the second game against Ruslan Ponomariov. Ivanchuk leads with 1.5-0.5 after two games.
