5 September 2011, Kuala Lumpur – Judit Polgar manages a draw against top seed Sergey Karjakin in the second game of the third round FIDE World Cup 2011. With this draw, Judit Polgar pulls through to the next round and Sergey Karjakin eliminated. Others that got through included Vugar Gashimov, Alexander Grischuk, Teimour Radjabov, Dmitry Jakovenko and Bu Xiangzhi.
