12 November 2010, Kuala Lumpur – In BERNAMA news today, Deputy President MCF, Ibrahim Abu Bakar is promising that Malaysian chess players will return with a medal from the ongoing Asian Games. The Malaysian chess players are finally recognized as category A athletes! Thank you to the Sports Ministry for their help.
Malaysia is represented by IM Mok Tze Meng, Alia Anin Azwa bt Bakri and Nur Nabila bt Azman Hisham. Go Malaysia go! Malaysia Boleh!
Malaysia’s number 1 chess player Mas Hafizulhelmi is down with dengue fever and is not able to participate in the Asian Games.
