The Carlsen team clarifies : ChessVibes
10 November 2010, Kuala Lumpur - Recently GM Magnus Carlsen announced his withdrawal from participating in the World Championship cycle. Being the world's number one rated player at some stage of this year 2010, that is a big blow to chess fans worldwide. He has had a successful chess campaign by playing a chess event between him and the World, which he won magnificiently.
