14th April 2013, Kuala Lumpur - The 13th Bangkok Chess Club Open 2013 and the Thailand Open Chess Championship 2013 is being held in Dusit Thani, Pattaya, Thailand from 14-21 April 2013. Some Malaysian chess players are participating including Wong Jianwen, Syazwan Zulkifli, Ahmad Fadil Nayan, Fong Yit San, Ms Lee Yin of KL, Ms Chon Yong of Penang and others.

GM Nigel Short (ENG, Elo 2696), Defending Champion and GM Jan Gustafsson (GER, Elo 2621), 11th BCC Open Champion will be participating in this year’s chess event.
