8 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – In Kedah, the 1st Kedah Rapid Chess Championship 2013 organised by the Persatuan Catur Negeri Kedah (PERCAK) and jointly sponsored by Jaffolea Chess Club, Kasugi and Cinta Sayang Resort, Sg Petani, Kedah, was held last Saturday on 6th April 2013 and 73 participants entered the event. Fong Yit San emerged the champion with a 7.5 points over nine rapid rounds of play. Second, Asian Master Ahmad Fadzil Nayan and third, Mohd Nabil Azman Hisham.
