Hou Yifan knocked out in round 2, Womens World Ch 2012

16 Nov 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Another two rapid games played today and Hou Yifan lost both games to Monika Socko giving the overall win to Socko 3-1. This means the defending Women’s World Champion, Hou Yifan of China, has been knocked out of this year’s chess championship 2012 in round 2.

Here are the two rapid games between the two players played earlier today at Khanty Mansiysk, Russia during the Women’s World Chess Championship 2012 of round 2. Both rapid games were won by Monika Socko of Poland.

Other updates, Irina Krush of USA won the playoffs against Pia Cramling of Sweden by winning both rapid games earlier today. Anna Ushenina won the playoffs against the higher seeded Anna Muzychuk by winning both games 2-0.
