20 April 2011, Kuala Lumpur – At the Excel Chess Academy, Nur Nabila Azman Hisham (top right) won the Alpha Group with 9.5 points from 11 rounds and Jax Tham (top left) won the Beta Group with 8 points in the Excel FIDE-Rated Tournament April 2011 held over three weekends.

17 April 2011, Kuala Lumpur – Here are the current cross-tables for the Alpha and Beta Groups for the Excel FIDE-Rated April 2011 chess tournament. The tournament is a single round robin among two groups of 12 players.
In the Alpha Group, Bernard Ng is leading with 9 points from 11 rounds. A close second is Nabila Azman Hisham with 8.5 points and a game in hand to play. Third is Wahid Karim with 8 points.
Meanwhile in the Beta Group, the current leader is Jax Tham with 7.5 points with two games in hand. Camilia Johari (top pix) is a clear second with 7.5 points from 11 rounds. In third is Najiha bt Azman Hisham with 6.5 points and a game in hand.

In the Alpha group, Kwan Tszee Yeung (pix above), a lady player is leading the group with two full points after two rounds.
Meanwhile in the Beta group, Jax is spearheading the group with two full points after two rounds of play.
