4th May 2013, Kuala Lumpur – It’s the eve of the General Elections 2013 and the Chess Association of Selangor (CAS) has made a new annoucement of the upcoming Second Quarter Allegro Chess Championship 2013 to be held on 7th July 2013.
It will be a two-category tournament with 7 rapid rounds of 20 mins time control plus 10 seconds increment. Prize fund is raised to RM3,000 from RM1,800 previously. Both Category 1 (NR>1400) and Category 2 (NR<1400) will have the same equivalent prizes.
