Yau Jun Wern Wins U16 Pre-School Hol Chess Tournament in Ipoh

4 November 2012, Kuala Lumpur - Here the results of the Age-Group PreSchool Holiday Chess
Tournament held at Leboh Cator in Ipoh today.

Chess tournament was successfully held on 4th Nov with 160 players participation in 5 age categories. MRSM Gerik was the biggest contigent with 37 players.

Below are the top 3 winners from each category.

U8 : Champion - Muhammad Izzul Idham Zulkifli

1st Runner-up - Navin Kumar Vetrivel
2nd Runner - up - Amir Haris Abdul Halim

U10 : Champion - Tan Yik Chean

1st Runner-up - Zulkarnain Safri
2nd Runner - up - Gerald Selvanesan

Khor Boon Han Declared Open Perak Teen Champ!

15 Jan 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Here are the final results of the recently held Perak Age Group Open Chess Championship 2012 in National State Library in Ipoh, Perak on 14 January 2012. The tournament was organised by the Perak International Chess Association.

Khor Boon Han beat 71 other players in the Under-16 Age category to win with 6 points and a superior tie-break points after seven rounds of rapid play. Meanwhile Khairulanwar Iskandar won in the Under-14 Age category with 6 points and Muhammad Khairul Izwan Haikal Kam won in the Under-12 Age category with the full 7 points!
