23rd Grand Asia Chess Challenge (GACC) in Kuala Lumpur

20th Nov 2018, Kuala Lumpur - The University of Malaya is organising the 23rd Grand Asia Chess Challenge (GACC) 2019 from 26 January - 2 Feb 2019 at Dewan Tunku Canselor, University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur.

There is the Inter Varsity, Open and Team Chess categories, Age Group Chess and Blitz Chess during the week long event.

Round 2 Pairings - ICE Chess Challenge Serie 6 2018

1 Sept 2018, Kuala Lumpur - Kamar Dani is the top seed. Haslindah Ruslan of Malaysian Chess Federation is in the tournament as well. About 40 players are playing in the ICE Chess Challenge Serie 6 in today's tournament.

ICE Chess Challenge Serie 6 2018

31st Aug 2018, Kuala Lumpur - The popular ICE Chess Challenge continues this coming month with Serie 6. The ICE Chess Challenge Serie 6 will begin tomorrow. It will be held at the well-kept Institute for Chess Excellence in Puchong. The tournament is meant for under 1600 rated players and will be played over two days, 1-2 Sept 2018. Time control will be 30 minutes plus 30 second increment.

At the moment there are 45 players have registered so far.

Upcoming 45th Selangor Open 2018

4th March 2018, Kuala Lumpur - The upcoming 45th Selangor Open 2018 will be held at the Grand Ballroom, 5th Floor, CitiTel Midvalley Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. An update has been made on the timing of the players meeting 'which will now be held at 12 noon, 27th April 2018.

The closing date will be on 22nd April 2018. Please check flyers for entrance fees. There will be two major sections: a. FIDE Open, b. Challenger Section.

Time control will be 90 minutes plus 30 sec increment.

Players meeting time has been set at 12 noon, 27th April 2018.  This players meeting has been changed from the original 1.00 p.m., 27th April 2018 as it is a friday and timing will affect muslim players.
