5 May 2010 – Last night in game 8 of the World Chess Championship 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria, Topalov manages to win with the Slav Defense against Anand, the reigning world champion in 56 moves. White had a bishop and five pawns against black’s bishop and four pawns.
